I am a Ph.D. Clinical Psychologist specializing in child and adolescent development, diagnostic evaluations and psychotherapy.
My private practice is in Harrison, New York with clients in Westchester County, the Greenwich/Darien, CT areas, northern New Jersey, as well as international clientele.
The greatest influences on my development as a psychologist were Dr. Lee Salk and Dr. Paulina Kernberg. Dr. Salk was an eminent psychologist, author (“What Every Child Wants His Parents to Know”), and Attending Pediatric Psychologist at The New York Hospital, Cornell Medical Center who introduced me to the world of normative psychology and the importance of empowering parents. As a Pediatric Psychologist, Dr. Salk was versatile, and his most memorable quote to me was, “There's no such thing as a learning disability - once we find the right methods…every child can learn.”
Paulina Kernberg, M.D, a world-renowned child psychiatrist and director of Cornell's residency training program in child and adolescent psychiatry in Westchester, was my training analyst and supervisor early in my career. She guided me to always consider the child first and that my development as a psychologist would be a life-long process – words that have proven to be very, very true.
At present, I am honored to be part of the Adolescent Project at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Weill Cornell Medical Center at the Personality Disorders Institute under the direction of Dr. Otto Kernberg. The Adolescent Project, under the direction of Dr. Pamela Foelsch, aims to carry on the work of Dr. Paulina Kernberg.
